Austin | Claude Workshop: Plugins for the Enterprise

WEDNESDAY 28 OCTOBER 2026
17:00 – 21:00
TBA
IN PERSON

We did not organise this event and we do not sell its tickets. We found it, checked it was about AI, and listed it. Booking takes you to the organiser.

Join a Claude Community Event, organized by local enthusiasts for everyone who loves working with Claude! Plugins are now the main way to extend Claude. A plugin packages connectors and skills into one install that works across Claude, Claude Code, and Cowork, so the way your team works with AI can live in one shared place instead of on individual laptops. Join us for a hands-on evening during Austin Tech Week, with a focus on teams in regulated and high-trust industries. We'll explore plugins together and trade notes on bringing Claude into the workplace. Why attend Get hands-on with plugins. Build, experiment, and see what they could do for your team. Learn from each other. Hear how teams are sharing and managing AI tools at work. Collaborate at every table. Work alongside others, whatever your experience level. Meet your peers. Connect with people across Austin working through the same questions. Who should attend Builders: developers, engineers, platform and IT teams Operators: analysts, operations, compliance and risk, product and program managers Leaders: CTOs, CIOs, engineering managers, and anyone guiding AI adoption at work You don't need to write code to take part. Agenda 5:00 PM: Doors, check-in, and laptop setup 5:30 PM: Welcome 5:40 PM: Field Notes & Announcements 5:50 PM: Intro to plugins with Anupama Garani, then questions 6:10 PM: Hands-on build. Everyone builds a plugin from a starter template 7:25 PM: Short break and reset 7:35 PM: Fireside chat moderated by Anupama Garani, with Domenic Fotino and Jonathan Malkin, plus open questions from the room 8:50 PM: Wrap-up, what's next, and a group photo Speakers Anupama Garani, VP, AI Engineering at PIMCO and an educator. Opens the evening with an intro to plugins and moderates the fireside chat. Dominic Fotino, founder and applied AI builder. Jonathan Malkin, AI educator. Get ready before you arrive START HERE: the plugin cheat sheet, with copy-ready commands and prompts: claude.ai Starter plugins on GitHub. Copy them, then make them your own: github.com No GitHub account? Download the zip: github.com Attendee guide, with the full evening: claude.ai What to bring: your laptop and charger. Comfort with a terminal helps but isn't required. Good to know: Cowork and submitting plugins to the Claude directory require a paid Claude plan (Pro, Max, Team, or Enterprise). You can still join, explore, and collaborate without one. The fine print Free to attend. Registration is required and seating is limited, so register early. Bringing a colleague? Have them register separately so we can save them a seat. Arrive early to find parking, this location does not offer parking validation Want to help? We're looking for volunteers who have built Claude plugins or know Claude well. Support a table, share what you've built, or facilitate. Reach out to Ian (Host) on LinkedIn if you need help
