✦ The room
Opened in 1901 as the Camden Theatre, KOKO has spent 125 years at the heart of London’s cultural life, evolving through eras as the Camden Hippodrome, a BBC studio, The Music Machine, Camden Palace and now KOKO. Its stage has hosted everyone from Charlie Chaplin and The Rolling Stones to Madonna, Prince, Amy Winehouse, Coldplay and Stormzy. Today, KOKO continues that legacy as one of Camden’s most iconic homes for live music, culture and unforgettable events.

Makers residency 4th edition
KOKO

Your idea can be anything. At our last workshops, people built plant-based nutrition businesses, a way to measure planetary resilience, crochet headwear and a way to connect lonely people living in the same building. An asset manager went on to raise an additional £25M on their fund within nine months. The fourth workshop is a full day at KOKO with Nick Sarafa, learning to build with Claude Code. Bring the thing you keep meaning to start. We’ll bring the pizza.
