I kept the prompts super simple to see what this model can do right out of the box with no training wheels. So is Gemini 3.1 better than Claude for writing fantasy novels and stories? The prose felt a bit too dramatic and wordy compared to what I just got from Claude Sonnet 4.6. However, Gemini 3.1 is actually really good at molding to your specific writing style if you give it examples. It also does a great job with brainstorming and categorizing ideas.
