Google Cooked! Testing Gemini 4 Argon & Blasting 800 Million Tokens!
Google is finally out of "Flash land." Gemini 4 Argon is out, and I’ve been running it in early access as my daily driver for the past week. Even better: Google put it on the $20 Pro plan (and didn't introduce a $500 tier). Today we’re looking at what I actually built with it — including a turn-based Godot & Blender game where the AI betrays humanity, a one-shot polyphonic synth, an overnight unattended Skyrim modding spree using /goal mode, cutting a 90-minute interview down to 10 minutes in DaVinci Resolve via MCP, and how it untangled the Planet Hell story mess that Opus 4.8 left behind. So… did Google cook? WHAT'S IN THIS ONE - Out of Flash land: After four Flash updates in 100 days, Google skipped 3.5 Pro and went straight to Gemini 4 Argon — available on both AI Ultra and the $20/month Pro tier, with a 1M unified token limit and continuation protocol in Antigravity. - Build #1 — AI vs. Aliens: An isometric turn-based city-builder / tower-defense game built in Godot with assets generated in Blender, both driven by Argon. Plus the dark Wave 6 ending Argon came up with on its own. - Build #2 — One-Shot Cyberpunk Synth: A polyphonic synthesizer with oscillators, a 5-track looper, and a drum machine built from a single prompt. - Secret Reveal #1 — DOOM in Skyrim: I couldn't say it under embargo last week, but Argon handled the one-shot DOOM-in-Skyrim implementation — and then I turned it loose overnight in /goal mode to download and install a full Skyrim graphics mod stack unattended. - Secret Reveal #2 — Editing in DaVinci Resolve: Hooked Argon up to DaVinci Resolve via MCP and had it cut my 90-minute Javi Lopez conversation down to a 10-minute interview in two prompts while pulling B-roll clips. - Un-sticking Planet Hell (plus a sneak peek): Where Opus 4.8 turned my writers' room into an unusable Obsidian graph of rules upon rules, Gemini 4 Argon organized my original notes, found hidden story threads, and got Planet Hell back into production. - Call with Google & Josh Woodward: Why Google revamped how Gemini 4 writes (goodbye "It's not X, it's Y"), why the 1M context never tells you to go to bed at 3 PM, how it compares to Opus 5.5 and Fable 5.1 on UI polish vs. actual gameplay mechanics (Peter Yang, Ethan Mollick, Mike Taylor), and what Google said when I asked about the next Nano Banana.
