Claude Duet vs ChatGPT Dots vs GrokBot
Grok Bot, Muse, Dots, and now Claude Duet. In 10 weeks, 4 of the biggest AI companies dropped an always-on agent. They all do the same basic thing, so I skipped the obvious and went straight to what's different: 8 categories, a winner for each, and a final leaderboard. Not sponsored. 🏆 The 8 categories 1. Price: Duet. Included in Claude Pro ($20/month). Grok Bot starts at $30 (Premium on The X Subscription), Dots at ChatGPT Pro ($100). Catch: Duet is waitlist only, and Grok Bot is the only one where I found a free trial. 2. Usage: Dots. Talking to your dot doesn't count toward your ChatGPT limits, and in its first month Dots usage doesn't count at all. Duet shares your Claude limits and checks your apps every few hours to save them. Grok Bot's weekly allowance is shared with Grok and Cursor, the number isn't published, and people say it runs out fast. 3. Who can use it today: Grok Bot. No waitlist, no country block I could find. Dots on Pro isn't in the EU, UK or Switzerland (you need Business with a Premium seat). Duet: US only, Pro and Max, waitlist. 4. Number of agents: Grok Bot. 50+ bots in group chats that hand work off. Dots and Duet: 1 each, for now. 5. Apps: Duet, on paper. 6,000+ connectors and plugins, and it can buy things with a virtual card. Dots: 4,000+. Grok Bot: no number, but it uses the computer when there's no connector. 6. Your work day: Dots. Slack, Teams, @dot in comments, you can call it, and it starts work in Codex. Grok Bot lives on X with its own email per bot. Duet lives in its own app. 7. Safety: Duet, on paper. It never sees your passwords, blocks sharing card numbers and IDs, and some things (trading stocks, moving money) are off-limits even with your approval. Dots is close: auto-review, Custom Rules, Activity View. Grok Bot checks before anything it can't undo, but the full action log is Enterprise only. 8. Learning by watching: Grok Bot, the only one. Record a task (up to 10 min) and it turns it into a skill. Dots and Duet can't do that. Bonus: Duet runs on Opus 5.5, Dots on GPT-6 Astra. Grok Bot has no model picker, and its help page mentions Opus 5.5. Record your screen doing a boring task and talk while you do it, then say "learn this". It grabs every screen that changes plus what you said, plays the steps back, asks 3 questions max and writes a skill. If there's a faster way (an app you connected, a direct download), it uses that, then runs it once while you watch.
