OpenAI Images 2.5 + Flare & Sunburst–What You Need To Know!?

From the creator

OpenAI just dropped ChatGPT Images 2.5 — along with two new API image models, GPT-Image-2.5 Flare and Sunburst. But can it finally change ONE thing without redesigning the entire image? In this video, I break down the announcement, the examples, and what actually matters for creators. OpenAI claims up to 50% lower generation latency than Images 2.0, better preservation of reference subjects, and more consistent results across multiple edits. We look at the aquarium editing example, the capybara-in-space speed comparison, the Sunburst lighting example, and the new Sketch interface. These are launch demonstrations, not my own controlled benchmark. Flare is OpenAI's default API choice for most applications. Sunburst is positioned for premium visual work that needs more precision, with longer generation times. ChatGPT also gets Sketch, image comments for targeted changes, templates, and prompt sharing. A rough drawing can now guide the composition instead of making you explain every detail with words. The question I care about: can I keep the parts I like and fix the parts I don't? Feature availability can vary by platform and rollout; templates are not yet available in Work mode. OpenAI says existing image-generation limits are unchanged. Face consistency, thumbnail edits, text rendering, transparent backgrounds, or five edits to the same image without wrecking it? Drop your hardest test in the comments. I'd also like to compare Images 2.5 with GPT-Image-2 and Nano Banana using the same prompts and reference images. The third AI workshop taught by our legendary teacher, Nick Sarafa. In one of the last events we did an asset manager raised an additional £25M on their fund within a space of 9 months. This is a full-day hands-on training workshop for purposeful co-creation with AI using Claude Code. Imagine having access to hundreds of billions of dollars of computing power and knowing exactly how to make it work for you through the power of super intelligence. One person did.
