Grok 4.6 Changed the AI Race — Gemini 3.7 Flash + DeepSeek 0813 Just Landed

From the creator

Grok 4.6 just dropped, alongside **Gemini 3.7 Flash** and **DeepSeek V4 Pro 0813** — and Elon Musk is already saying **Grok 4.7** could be ready in roughly 3–4 weeks. Man, AI news keeps changing so fast that these model generations are starting to feel outdated almost immediately after they launch. In this video, we're breaking down what actually changed with **Grok 4.6, Gemini 3.7 Flash, DeepSeek V4 Pro 0813**, the coming Grok 4.7 update, and OpenAI's expanding cybersecurity capabilities around GPT-5.6 Sol and its Daybreak / Trusted Access programs. More importantly, I'm separating the actual releases from the hype and looking at what these updates mean for coding, AI agents, automation, reasoning, cost, and real-world model performance. ##GROK 4.6 IS HERE xAI has officially released **Grok 4.6**, and this is a much more serious frontier-model update than a minor version number makes it sound. We look at the published Grok 4.6 benchmarks, improvements to coding and long-running agentic workloads, how it compares with models such as GPT-5.6 Sol, Claude, Kimi K3, and other frontier systems, and why xAI suddenly looks much more competitive in the model race. But we're not crowning Grok from benchmark charts alone. I'm going to put Grok 4.6 through extensive real-world testing. ## GROK 4.7 ALREADY?! And somehow, we're already talking about the next model. According to **Elon Musk**, Grok 4.7 is significantly better than Grok 4.6 and should be ready in approximately **3–4 weeks**. Elon also said initial training is complete and that additional SpaceX company data is being incorporated during supplemental training. Important: **Grok 4.7 has NOT released yet.** The 3–4 week window is Elon's estimate, not a guaranteed launch date. ## GEMINI 3.7 FLASH Google also released **Gemini 3.7 Flash**. The Flash tier continues moving far beyond the idea of simply being Google's cheap, lightweight model. Gemini 3.7 Flash is aimed at fast, cost-efficient AI workloads while continuing to improve coding, agentic workflows, tool use, multimodal capabilities, long-context processing, and automation. We're going to test whether those improvements translate into actual completed work rather than just better benchmark numbers. ## DEEPSEEK V4 PRO 0813 Then we have **DeepSeek V4 Pro 0813**. DeepSeek continues attacking the AI model race from a different angle: strong coding and agentic capability combined with aggressive economics. The 0813 update focuses heavily on production agent workflows, coding, reasoning, tool use, API compatibility, and multi-step autonomous work. ## OPENAI + CYBERSECURITY OpenAI is also pushing much deeper into cybersecurity with **GPT-5.6 Sol** and expanded controlled access through its Daybreak / Trusted Access ecosystem. Modern frontier models are becoming increasingly capable at secure code review, vulnerability analysis, threat modeling, malware analysis, incident-response workflows, vulnerability triage, and other cybersecurity tasks. Cyber capability is inherently dual-use, so increasingly capable models also create new questions around identity verification, account security, access controls, and responsible deployment. ## THE AI MODEL RACE IS GETTING RIDICULOUS This is the bigger story. Grok 4.6 just launched. Grok 4.7 is already being discussed. Gemini 3.7 Flash just landed. DeepSeek V4 Pro 0813 just landed. OpenAI continues pushing GPT-5.6 into increasingly specialized workloads. We're reaching the point where asking **"Which company has the best AI model?"** may be the wrong question because the answer can change before the month is over. That's why ByteForward is going beyond announcement videos. ## EXTENSIVE TESTING IS COMING We're going to test these models on real coding projects, multi-file repositories, browser tasks, agentic workflows, tool calling, long-context workloads, instruction following, hallucination and grounding, speed, cost, and reliability. The metrics I care about most are simple: **Completed work per dollar.** **Completed work per minute.** **And how much babysitting the model needs before the job is actually finished.** Company benchmark charts are useful, but they don't tell the entire story. We're going to find out what these models can actually do. ## CHAPTERS 00:00 AI News Changed Again 00:35 The Model Race Just Accelerated 01:05 Grok 4.6 Is Officially Here 02:40 Elon Already Teases Grok 4.7 04:15 Gemini 3.7 Flash 06:20 DeepSeek V4 Pro 0813 08:20 OpenAI + Cybersecurity 10:15 What This Means for AI 11:20 Extensive Testing Is Coming ## OFFICIAL SOURCES xAI — Grok 4.6 https://x.ai/news/grok-4-6 Elon Musk — Grok 4.7 Update https://x.com/elonmusk/status/2087604711767896527 Google Gemini Models https://ai.google.dev/gemini-api/docs/models DeepSeek Updates https://api-docs.deepseek.com/updates OpenAI GPT-5.6 https://openai.com/index/gpt-5-6/ #Grok46 #Gemini37Flash #DeepSeekV4 #AINews #Grok47
