5 things i’ve learned from burning 221m Claude Code tokens in 3 Months

From the creator

I've put over 1,000 hours into Claude Code: 258 sessions, 255,000+ messages, and 230M+ tokens (the /stats screenshot is from two days before recording, and I'd burned another 11M since). I've only taken 2 days off in about four months, and one of them was my stag do. These are the 5 things that actually changed how I work with Claude Code and Opus 5.5. The full document is free, linked below. In this video: • Tip 1: You are the human in the loop. Opus 5.5 rarely makes plain mistakes now, but it can still misread what you mean ("delete this" ≠ delete everything) • Tip 2: End big prompts with "discuss". My single biggest tip: Claude explains how it understood the task and what context it's missing before it touches any code • Tip 3: Tell it to go and study. Don't let it state things as fact with nothing behind them • Tip 4: Give Claude the dev tools it needs. CLIs, API keys and local setups (e.g. Stripe webhooks via Stripe CLI or Convex) so it isn't coding blind • Tip 5: Use the right connectors, not every connector. Semrush for keyword data before writing pages, Bright Data for scraping and screenshots 📄 Get the full document → https://docs.google.com/document/d/1C9AetMWFhW65IiW7cqS6jv00oqWNRiKynIvStUC_-xA/edit?usp=sharing 🎯 Get a 14-day Semrush One trial → https://semrush.sjv.io/JkmbYa (huge thanks to Semrush for sponsoring this video) Work with us (websites, SaaS, CRMs, SEO): https://incomestreamsurfer.com #ClaudeCode #Opus55 #AICoding #Anthropic #Semrush ## Chapters (from the transcript) 0:00 1,000 hours and 230M+ tokens of Claude Code 0:54 Sponsor: Semrush One (14-day free trial) 2:30 What 1,000 hours taught me 2:37 Tip 1: You are the human in the loop 4:01 Tip 2: Always say "discuss" (my biggest tip) 5:30 Tip 3: Make Claude go and study 6:07 Tip 4: Give Claude the tools to do real dev 7:39 Tip 5: Use the right connectors (Semrush + Bright Data) 8:43 Get the document + outro ## Tags claude code, claude code tips, claude code tutorial, opus 5.5, claude opus 5.5, claude code best practices, how to use claude code, claude code workflow, claude code 2026, claude code prompting, claude code connectors, claude code mcp, semrush claude code, bright data claude code, ai coding tips, anthropic claude code, vibe coding tips, income stream surfers

AI Maker Residence at KOKO

The third AI workshop taught by our legendary teacher, Nick Sarafa. In one of the last events we did an asset manager raised an additional £25M on their fund within a space of 9 months. This is a full-day hands-on training workshop for purposeful co-creation with AI using Claude Code. Imagine having access to hundreds of billions of dollars of computing power and knowing exactly how to make it work for you through the power of super intelligence. One person did.
