GPT-6.1-Sol + Codex = The ULTIMATE Budget Coding Setup (INSANE)
PT-6.1 Sol just dropped, and I built a full SaaS with it inside OpenAI Codex on the $20 ChatGPT Plus plan: Next.js, Vercel, Stripe payments, Neon database and auth, all set up from the Codex app with the Vercel CLI. The whole 30-minute /goal build used about 26% of my 5-hour limit and roughly 2% of my weekly usage. At the same time, OpenAI is under fire on X over Codex usage limits. Tibo (@thsottiaux) announced the new plan multipliers (Plus = 1X, Pro 100 = 5X, Pro 200 = 10X), and the replies exploded. In this video I explain why I think most of the anger about Codex limits is misplaced, especially for $20 plan users, and how Codex usage compares to the Claude Code $20 plan. In this video: • GPT-6.1 Sol first test in Codex • The Codex usage limits controversy, and Tibo's new Pro 200 plan explained • Codex $20 Plus plan vs Claude Code $20 plan: how much usage you really get • How to build SaaS foundations first: Next.js + Vercel CLI + Stripe + Neon + auth • Using /goal in Codex to build a complete SaaS in one prompt • GPT-6.1 Sol vs Opus 5.5 vs Sonnet 5.5: comparing the SaaS builds • Final usage: a full SaaS for 26% of a 5-hour limit Why build foundations first: if you tell Codex (or Claude Code) your framework, database, auth and payment provider before you ask for features, it can build almost anything, and you don't need to know how to code.
