This FREE AI Previz Tool is Awesome & a Secret Video Model!
A free, open-source tool that gets you the exact shot before you generate, plus the fix for when 3D-guided AI video comes out stiff. And a secret AI video model just turned up in blind tests on the Arena, swinging big on motion. Also this week: Kling's reported IPO, Ideogram's first vector model, and a Seedream 5.5 leak. WHAT'S IN THIS ONE - Iron Goddess: an unclaimed AI video model that showed up in battle mode on the Arena this week. Tests from Synthesis (fluid dynamics), Leo (a character shot), Brent Lynch (action, plus the same prompt in Seedance 2.5) and my own Man in the Blue Business Suit run. Big, fast, swing-for-the-fences motion; frame by frame, the fastest moments get smudgy. Seedance 2.5 holds together better, with less dynamic movement. - Who made it? Nobody has said. My bet is Alibaba, which said at its Apsara conference in September that a new video model is coming in November. A bet, not a fact. - Kling: Bloomberg reports a Hong Kong IPO for Kuaishou's AI video unit as soon as next year (not confirmed). In July, Kling raised nearly $3B at about $18B post-money, with Tencent, Alibaba and Baidu among the investors. Kuaishou keeps about 68%. - The Blender-to-Seedance workflow gets great results, but it's slow to render and you need some Blender to drive it. - CozyClay 3.0: a free, open-source 3D previs tool built for AI video. One-click install through Pinokio; it runs in your browser and doesn't need a GPU. Its agent can build the set for you through your ChatGPT sign-in (Codex) or an API key (Anthropic, OpenAI, Gemini). You still render the shot with your own video model. - The stiff-shot fix, via PJ: if your 3D-guided generations come out stiff, screenshot the previs, lay it out as a storyboard and go image-to-video. You keep the exact composition, lens and aspect ratio. - Quick hits: Ideogram Vector, Ideogram's first vector model, does text-to-SVG and image-to-SVG in the app and the API. And Seedream 5.5 looks to be on the way: 100-layer scene decomposition (up from 10), 80+ rounds of drift-resistant local editing, and 4K.
