Aider's own release notes even track how much of each release it wrote itself, including one release where Aider wrote 77% of its own code. The catch: it still ships as 0.x software with occasional breaking changes to CLI flags and config files, and it has no SOC 2 or enterprise compliance program, which is where paid IDEs still win.
