They Killed Fable. Here’s What You Need to Do Next

From the creator

Anthropic’s Fable 5 was live for about three days before it disappeared. According to Anthropic, a U.S. government directive citing national security required the company to suspend access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5 by foreign nationals, so Anthropic says it had to “abruptly disable” both models for all customers. In this video, I break down what we actually know, what’s still fog of war, Amazon’s reported role, the jailbreak vs. export-control explanations, and why the biggest takeaway is not just “Anthropic good” or “Anthropic bad.” It’s this: the AI model you build your entire workflow around can vanish overnight. Then we get practical. If Fable comes back, or OpenAI drops GPT-5.6, don’t just use the next frontier model to make another one-off project. Use it to build systems that make you less fragile: local folders, second-brain architecture, workflow docs, source-of-truth setups, and a real backup plan for your AI work.
