I've used Claude Code for over 2,000 hours now. And if there's one thing I've learned, it's that about 80% of the time your coding agent messes up, it's not the model - it's how you're managing context. That problem is called context rot, and it gets worse the bigger your codebase gets! So I bundled up all of my battle-tested strategies into what I call the WISC framework - Write, Isolate, Select, Compress. Four strategies that keep your context window lean while still giving the agent everything it needs. I walk through each one with live demos on a real, complicated codebase so you can see exactly how they work in practice. These strategies work on any codebase, even massive ones, and they apply to any AI coding assistant.
