I Gave Droid 1.0 the Job I Put Off Forever

I put off rebuilding my blog forever, so I gave the whole job to Factory's new Droid 1.0 to see if it could go start to finish. My old blog was Next.js 12, and every post came from Notion. The design was dated, and I want my agents to be able to post for me. So I picked the Streamer theme from Lexington Themes, opened Droid 1.0 in spec mode on the Auto model, and just talked to it. It spun off sub agents, found the 51 posts marked public in my Notion database, asked me questions, and wrote a spec. I approved it in a fresh chat with full autonomy and let it cook. When I came back, my blog was ported over to Astro and Tailwind CSS, running locally. Then I asked for an orange accent like my Knob 1 keyboard, and my site came back looking like Factory's own website. We fixed one weird triangle and called it. Droid 1.0 came out Oct 29. Factory calls it a harness rewrite, "powered by new design principles and a programmatic tool-calling engine." Factory didn't sponsor this video. It's my first look, with no early access.
